My abstraction series, Mind Full, is a break from rules and preconceptions. The work begins with a free-flowing mark of alcohol ink and follows up with layers of marks and papers. Each move plays off the next. There is no prior planning, but the process is a continuous play back and forth between materials and surfaces. The imagery is developed in the moment, driven by instinct and flow. It comes out of my own desire to bring more zen into my creative practice.
